Terms of service

Last updated October 21, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and [LLC NAME] ("Academic Contacts", "we", "us"). They apply when you use this website or order a list from us. If you order for a company, you agree to them on its behalf and confirm you're allowed to. If we sign a separate written agreement or quote with you, it takes priority where the two differ.

What we provide

We build custom lists of people at US colleges and universities from publicly available sources, mostly university directory and profile pages. You describe the audience you want. We reply with how many people match and a price. Work starts once you accept the quote. Delivery is a file, usually a CSV.

How you may use a list

We give you a license to use each list you pay for, inside your own company, for business outreach and research. You agree:

If you break these rules, we can end your license and refuse future orders. You must then delete the list.

Accuracy

Our data comes from public pages that schools update at different times, so some details will be out of date or wrong. We don't promise that every email address works or that every person is still in their role. If rows in a list you bought are clearly wrong, tell us within 30 days of delivery and we'll fix or replace them. That is your only remedy for inaccurate data.

Payment

You pay the price in the quote, before delivery unless we agree otherwise in writing. Prices are in US dollars and don't include any taxes that apply. A list can't be returned once delivered, so refunds are only by our agreement, for example if we can't deliver what we quoted.

Our website and materials

The website, its text and design, the example data on it, and the way we compile our lists belong to us. The example rows on this website are made up and anonymized. Don't copy the site or use automated tools to collect data from it.

Disclaimers

Apart from what these terms say, the website and lists are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose. You decide how to use a list and whom to contact.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost business, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for the list it concerns in the 12 months before the claim.

Your responsibility

You'll cover our reasonable costs, including legal fees, if a claim is brought against us because of how you used a list or because you broke these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Any dispute will be handled by the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts, and both of us agree to those courts.

Changes

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. The terms in place when you accept a quote apply to that order.
